05/10/ · I've recently discovered the magic that is downloadable maps. The problem is that a few of the maps that I have downloaded aren't showing up in my map list. As in, you went outside the boundaries of your map? If that's the case, just look on the edges for a white dot and walk in a direction that will get you back inside it. And for future reference, when you get back to your base, press F3 and look at the X and Z coordinates so you know where your base is actually at. You can also zoom maps out by surrounding them with 8 more paper in the crafting window. I think you can zoom a total of 4 times.
